How we work
Mintnib is practice for the ESAT, the TMUA and Oxbridge interviews, where every question and worked solution is computed and checked, and the platform remembers what each student has mastered. We are a business, and every Mintnib Pro we sell on our website gives Pro free to a student who couldn't otherwise cover the cost.

Why Mintnib exists
How much help a student gets with applying to the most selective universities, from advice on where to apply to preparation for interviews, depends a great deal on their school (Sutton Trust, 2018). Read the report.
We want more students to arrive at these tests well prepared, and we do not want the price of practice to decide who gets to. Everything here is built around those two things: material good enough to be worth paying for, and a route to it for students who could not otherwise cover the cost.
How practice works
Every question is written for the specification it tests, and checked before it is published. Each one comes with a worked solution, because knowing the answer is not the same as knowing the method.
Nothing here is reproduced from an exam board's own material. We are independent of the boards that set the ESAT and the TMUA, and nothing on this site is endorsed by them.
The pass keeps your history and suggests what comes next from it, so practice builds on what you have already done instead of starting again each time.
Buy one, give one
When you buy Mintnib Pro on our website, you fund Pro for a student who couldn't otherwise cover the cost.
Pro given free to 1 student since 1 October 2026.
The full terms, including who a free pass is for, nominated by a teacher or on a bursary, and how a school asks for one, are at the scheme's terms, and the figures we publish are on the buy one, give one page.
How we keep it fair
No countdowns, no pop-ups and no prompts to buy in the middle of practice. The giving message appears once on a page, as a fact about how the business works, and it is aimed at parents, teachers and the press rather than at a child.
These pages set no cookies, run no tracking script and carry no tracking pixels, and they ask you for nothing: there is no sign up form and no contact form on them.
Practice itself runs on an account created on lucasrey.com, operated by the same person. That account holds your email address, how you signed in, the questions you have answered and the devices you have signed in on, among other things, which is what lets practice carry on where it stopped rather than start again. Our privacy notice says exactly what is held, why, and for how long, and our cookie notice covers the cookies.
How we are funded
Mintnib is a business. Students and parents buy passes, and that is what pays for the questions being written and checked, and for the free passes that go to students who couldn't otherwise cover the cost.
We issue the codes ourselves; no money goes to any school or charity, and we are not a charity.
What we do not do
We do not promise a score or an offer, and we will not until we have results from enough students who have agreed to share them. We do not claim to be endorsed by any exam board or university. We never use the free passes to urge a child to buy. We do not sell anyone's data.
