The ESAT Move Register
A book of shortcuts for the ESAT. Each one is shown on ESAT style questions, next to the usual method, with the point at which it stops working.
What is in it
- The moves: each a way of reaching the answer in fewer steps than the usual method, with a drawing that shows it at a glance.
- Worked examples across Mathematics 1, Mathematics 2, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each example changes its question until the move stops being true, so you see where it fails as well as where it works.
- Practice questions for every module, each with a full worked solution.
- A formula notebook: every formula and fact the ESAT syllabus expects you to recall, module by module.
For a student, a tutor or a school
There is one book, a PDF, in three editions that differ only in the licence: a Student edition for one student's own study, a Tutor edition for one private tutor's lessons, and a School edition for one school or college department. Each is a single payment, and every later edition of the book is included at no extra cost.
The book is sold on lucasrey.com, the site of its author, who also writes and checks the questions on Mintnib. More about who is behind Mintnib.
Independent of the test's makers
The ESAT is set by UAT-UK. This book is independent of UAT-UK and of the universities that use the test, and is not endorsed by them. Every question in it is original, and no past paper is reproduced in it.
